PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication network equipment extension support apparatus capable of constructing a highly safe communication network even when a large amount of traffic is simultaneously caused due to the occurrence of earthquake, and to provide a communication network equipment extension amount calculation method and a computer program.;SOLUTION: The communication network equipment extension support apparatus 1 includes a simultaneously caused large traffic amount calculation part 11 for calculating the simultaneously caused large traffic amount which is the estimated value of the traffic amount to be caused upon an earthquake on the basis of past earthquake occurrence information, a communication network risk calculation part 12 for calculating the degree of risk of each area on the basis of the simultaneously caused large traffic amount, a traffic amount at normal time and a traffic amount to be bypassed from the other area, and an equipment extension amount calculation part 13 for calculating the extension amount of network equipment in each area on the basis of the degree of risk.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
