PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag base cloth which has low gas permeability and mechanical properties required for airbag base cloth, shows small seam slip at sewing parts of an airbag when the airbag receives a passenger after its inflation expansion, is excellent in seam slip resistance and has compactness for storage that has not been able to be improved with these properties, and to provide an airbag.;SOLUTION: Disclosed is a base cloth for an air bag, which is composed of a polyamide multifilament having a total fiber fineness of 200 to 700 dtex and a single fiber fineness of 1 to 2 dtex as both a warp and a woof, and which has a cover factor (CF) of 1800 to 2300, wherein the ratio ECw/Mtw of the slippage resistance ECw to the single fiber fineness Mtw in a longitudinal direction and the ratio ECf/Mtf of the slippage resistance ECf to the single fiber fineness Mtf in a transverse direction are both 250 to 1000 N/dtex.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
