PSOLUTION: Disclosed is a gamma curve adjusting device for adjusting the gamma curve used by a gamma correcting circuit for gamma-correcting an image signal and showing the relation between input-side gradation values and output-side gradation values, the gamma curve adjusting device comprising a user interface unit which permits a user to specify an output-side gradation value at each of a plurality of preset adjustment points on the gamma curve, and an adjustment unit which adjusts the gamma curve so that an output-side gradation value at each adjustment point includes a value predetermined by the user interface unit. A first pair of two adjustment points which are adjacent to each other on the gamma curve among the plurality of adjustment points are so set that the difference in input-side gradation value between the two adjustment points of the first pair is different from the difference in input-side gradation value between two adjustment points of a second pair which are adjacent to each other on the gamma curve.
