PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact apparatus for treating miscellaneous waste water containing organic matter such as an oil component, which can be used in a small-scale restaurant or can be installed in a small storage tank used before and to provide a method for treating miscellaneous waste water.;SOLUTION: The method for treating miscellaneous waste water comprises the steps of: removing solids in untreated miscellaneous waste water 2 flowing in a miscellaneous waste water storage tank 1 by using a basket 4 for removing solids; making the oil in the solid-removed miscellaneous waste water pass through-holes of a perforated plate 5 for solid separation and collecting the oil passing through-holes on the water surface; sucking the oil-containing miscellaneous waste water from the upper end of a position adjustment mechanism 6 for adjusting the suction position or pressurizing the oil-containing miscellaneous waste water by using a pump 11; introducing the sucked or pressurized miscellaneous waste water into a pressure tank through a pipeline to the pressure tank 13; and cleaning the introduced miscellaneous waste water by the effect of the cavitation generated by jetting the miscellaneous waste water from a cavitation generation nozzle 14 fixed in the pressure tank.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
