PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leakage inspection method for a high pressure feed water heater, utilizing an existing apparatus, not requiring a complicated program, and finding leakage of a very small quantity. PSOLUTION: In this leakage inspection method for the high pressure feed water heaters 10, 11, leakage of condensed water from the high pressure feed water heaters 10, 11 performed in a power generation plant is detected. During the cooling operation of the power generation plant, or during the pause of operation, an evaporation pipe valve 22 is closed, and a bypass passage valve 23 is opened to circulate the condensed water and feed water in the bypass passage 21 and the condensed water-feed water pipe 20.
