PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the capacity of an auxiliary power supply or prolong the operation time of the auxiliary power supply by suppressing the power consumption rate of each consumer at not more than a predetermined value when a power failure occurs.;SOLUTION: The information processing system for suppressing power consumption rate in a consumer having a preliminary power supply to be switched and used when a power failure occurs in a system power supply includes: a received power limiting section for limiting the power rate to be received by the consumer; a power failure information receiving section for receiving power failure information as information for reporting an event indicating that a power failure occurs; a power switching section for releasing a system power supply receiving circuit for receiving power from the system power supply when receiving the power failure information from the power failure information receiving section, and configuring the preliminary power supply circuit for supplying power generated by the preliminary power supply to the consumer; and a received power rate limiting control section for transmitting a signal for reducing the limited current value to the received power rate limiting section when the power supply switching section configures the preliminary power supply circuit.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
