PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear motor with a magnetic shield plate, which can easily mount a linear motor and a magnetic shield plate to a base of a component mounting device or the like.;SOLUTION: A partially-protruding boss 6 is integrally molded on the side face 2b of a molding 2 which constitutes an armature of the linear motor. Then, a hole 4a engaged with the boss 6 is formed at the magnetic shield plate 4. The magnetic shield plate 4 can easily be positioned and fixed to the linear motor by making the boss 6 of the molding 2 be engaged with the hole 4a of the magnetic shield plate 4. Since there is no need for processing a tap for fixing the magnetic shield plate 4 to the molding 2, there arises no risk that the tap is interfered with a coil, and thus the molding 2 can be reduced in thickness.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
