PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication conference system in which a speaking participant and his spoken contents can be visually grasped and smooth proceedings of a conference can be attained.;SOLUTION: One of communication apparatuses constituting a communication conference system comprises: a plurality of microphones to which voices of a plurality of users are input individually; a voice recognizing means for recognizing voices input to the plurality of microphones, respectively; a position specifying means for specifying the position of a speaking participant in a captured image; a means for associating spoken character information obtained by the recognition due to the voice recognizing means with user position information indicating the position of the speaking participant; and a transmission means for transmitting the spoken character information and the user information associated with each other. Another communication apparatus comprises: a receiving means for receiving the spoken character information and the user position information associated with each other; and a combination means for combining character images relating to the spoken character information received by the receiving means with an image portion corresponding to the position indicated by the user position information in the captured image.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
