PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a conventional imaging device in which the effect of camera shake correcting function cannot be evaluated separately from out-of-focus. PSOLUTION: The method for evaluating the effect of camera shake correction function of an imaging device comprises: a first step of photographing a subject in a state where the camera shake correcting function is OFF and vibration is given to the imaging device; a second step of photographing the same subject as in the first step in a state where the camera shake correcting function is ON and the same vibration as in the first step is given to the imaging device; a third step of calculating an image quality evaluation value of the photographic image taken in the first step; a fourth step of calculating an image quality evaluation value of the photographic image taken in the second step; and a fifth step of calculating an effect evaluation value of the camera shake correcting function of the imaging device from the evaluation value calculated in the third step and the evaluation value calculated in the fourth step.
