PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for readily and accurately detecting and determining nematodes in soil by extracting nucleic acids from the nematodes in the soil within a short time in high efficiency. PSOLUTION: The method for extracting the nucleic acids from the nematodes in the soil includes the following steps (a) and (b), and the method for detecting and determining the nematodes in the soil includes the following steps (a) to (c): (a) a step M for consolidating the soil sample collected from the soil; (b) a step for extracting the nucleic acids from the soil sample consolidated by the step of (a); and (c) a step for detecting or determining the nucleic acids extracted by the step (b).
