PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notify the existence of another directory or folder on the same layer. PSOLUTION: A digital camera 10 has a system controller 14, a signal processing circuit 15, a monitor 16 and a memory connector 17. An external memory 18 is connected to the memory connector 17. The external memory 18 has an image folder for each different date. A catalog figure of image files included in a single image folder is displayed on the monitor 16. The system controller 14 confirms whether an image folder other than the image folder to be displayed exists in the external memory 18.
