PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial shellfish for practice suitable for practicing nucleus inserting operation, and to provide a practice method using the artificial shellfish.;SOLUTION: The artificial shellfish for practicing pearl oyster nucleus insertion comprises a simulated shell section consisting of a hard material and a simulated internal organ section consisting of a soft material. The simulated shell section simulates a bivalve and the upper half shell section can be opened and closed, and the simulated internal organ section is provided with a guide means showing an insertion path for inserting a pearl nucleus from the out edge portion to a gonad portion. In the nucleus insertion practice method using the artificial shellfish, a user practices through gradually reducing the opening angle of the shell section from a full-open state.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
