PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the dryness of the laundry without using air moisture sensing. PSOLUTION: In the bathroom ventilation drier 1 intended to dry the laundry 14 hung in a bathroom 2, the amount of ventilation to the bathroom 2 is kept in a certain value, and the heating rate by the heating means for the bathroom 2 is kept in a certain value. The dry status of the laundry 14 is detected by calculating an amount of steam generated from the laundry 14 during drying from a difference between an air temperature of the bathroom 2 and an inflow air temperature to the bathroom 2, as the quantity of sensible heat drawn from the bathroom 2 as latent heat of vaporization.
