PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for suppressing the increase in fuel consumption amount while securing a sufficient exhaust gas heating value under a low loading condition of engine, in an exhaust gas heat utilizing system of a spark-ignition engine. PSOLUTION: An active exhaust gas heat utilizing system of a spark-ignition engine includes a spark-ignition timing delay control means for delaying a spark-ignition timing of an engine, under the low loading condition of engine, and an intake-air throttle valve opening degree control means for increasing the intake-air throttle valve opening degree, under the low loading condition of engine. The system is capable of mitigating the increase in fuel consumption amount, while securing a required output power, even when a sufficient exhaust gas heat is secured under the low loading condition of engine.
