PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a method for controlling an amount of magnetic flux, which can easily control the amount of magnetic flux from a permanent magnet; an excitation apparatus; and a magnetic attraction apparatus.;SOLUTION: A first magnetic circuit including a magnetic path portion outside the apparatus and a second magnetic circuit included in the apparatus are connected in parallel to a permanent magnet included in each of an excitation apparatus and a magnetic attraction apparatus, magnetic poles connected to respective magnetic circuits are opposed to the permanent magnet so as to be relatively moved, the sum of opposed areas of the permanent magnet to respective magnetic poles is always fixed, magnetic flux is diverted into respective magnetic circuits, and the amount of the diverted magnetic flux is controlled by mechanical deviation. When the magnetic resistance values of both the magnetic circuits are equally set, magnetic force interrupting the deviation is minimized and the amount of magnetic flux can be easily controlled.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
