METHOD OF FINDING CHARACTERISTICS OF MAGNETIC FIELD DISTRIBUTION IN THE VICINITY OF WRITING ELEMENT OF MAGNETIC HEAD, MAGNETIC HEAD MEASURING METHOD, AND MAGNETIC HEAD MEASURING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of finding a magnetic field distribution in the vicinity of a writing element of a magnetic head, a magnetic head measuring method of finding an effective core width and effective gap width of the writing element based on the found characteristics, a magnetic head measuring device, a magnetic head produced by using the magnetic head measuring device, and a magnetic storage device by using the magnetic head.;SOLUTION: The characteristics of the writing magnetic field distribution can be measured by measuring a change of electric response characteristics of a writing coil depending on locations of a magnetic field disturbing means by moving the magnetic field disturbing means in the writing magnetic field of the magnetic head. Magnetic field intensity and magnetic field vector component can be detected by controlling magnetic characteristics of the magnetic field disturbing means, such as permeability, coercivity, and magnetic anisotropy, and analyzing the real part and imaginary part of the impedance of the writing coil.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
