PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote monitoring system capable of supplying useful information to a manager, while simplifying the system.;SOLUTION: An insulation monitoring system 11, as a remote monitoring system, includes an insulation monitoring terminal 21 as a remote monitoring terminal for monitoring equipment; and a terminal management server 31, connected to the insulation monitoring terminal 21 via a network 10 for receiving an operation confirmation signal from the insulation monitoring terminal 21 for managing the operational status of the insulation monitoring terminal 21. The insulation monitoring terminal 21 includes a detection means 23 for detecting faults in power supply equipment; an extraction means for extracting a representative value from the detection result made by the detection means 23; and an operation confirmation signal transmission means for periodically transmitting the operation confirmation signal, containing the representative value extracted by the extraction means, to the terminal management server 31.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
