WEAR-RESISTANT TAPE WITH HIGH NOISE SUPRESSION EFFECT, ESPECIALLY TAPE FOR BANDAGING CABLE HARNESS

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape which can make a cable harness highly protective against mechanical injuries due to fretting and friction at sharp edges, nicks, and a welded site by bandaging individual conductors, and further impart very high noise attenuating properties. PSOLUTION: This wear-resistant tape with high noise suppression effect is composed of at least, three layers, i.e. a first outside layer A, a second outside layer B and an intermediate layer C which is sandwiched between the outside layers A and B and secured to the former at least, partially. Especially, the tape is designed to sheathe an elongated finished product such as a conductor or a cable harness, and is composed of an upper layer A of a stitch-bonded nonwoven fabric, an upper layer B of a nonwoven fabric and an intermediate layer C of a film with an viscoelastic adhesive applied to both sides.
