PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance method for the detection and imaging of susceptibility related magnetic field distortions. PSOLUTION: For example, a method and a device is disclosed for forming a susceptibility-related contrast image caused by a marker material of an intervention device used for passive MR guided interventions, or by particles or cells loaded with the marker material used for molecular imaging, cell tracking, or cell labeling. A positive contrast signal is generated from local gradient compensation and then a balanced SSFP type of echo is formed near the local magnetic field perturber, meanwhile, the echo is shifted out of the data acquisition window at other all positions.
