PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical device and a security management method, wherein an operator who has performed an operation before can continue the operation at the time of previous login. PSOLUTION: The medical device includes: a control part which performs such control that the medical device is switched to an operation interruption state in response to the occurrence of an event meeting a predetermined condition in a login state of the medical device and is switched back to an operable state by authentication processing of a pertinent operator in response to the execution of a new operation in the operation interruption state; an operation condition storage part which stores operation condition information of an operator having operated the medical device before when switching back the medical device to the operable state; an operation condition restoration part which restores the previous operation condition of the pertinent operator in accordance with operator's request; and an operation log display control part which uses an operation log to display an operation history on a display device when the operation condition is restored.
