PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide polyoxymethylene molding compositions having substantially reduced emission tendency of folmaldehydes and industrially required level of mechanical properties. PSOLUTION: Molding compositions prepared from linear polyoxyethylene copolymers with essentially oxymethylene units and oxyethylene units as structural units in polymer chains are provided, wherein proportions of oxyethylene units in the structural units of the polymer chains amounts to 1.5-2.5 mol%. The molding compositions and molded articles produced therefrom and optionally colored exhibit high stability and emit extremely low quantities of folmaldehydes. At the same time the molding compositions have so high mechanical properties that usual fields of applications and processing methods can be utilized without any restrictions.
