PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heater control device for a water heater capable of coping with various power source specifications with a simple constitution, improving workability and reducing costs.;SOLUTION: This heater control device comprises a three phase input terminals 1, with which a three phase AC power source can be connected, heater connecting terminals 2, 3, with which three heaters R1, R2, R3 for the three phase AC power source are connected, and a change over unit for switching the heaters R1, R2, R3 into the Y-connection or delta connection with the three phase AC power source connected with the three phase input terminals 1, when the three phase AC power source is connected with the three phase input terminals 1 so that the heaters R1, R2, R3 having substantially identical resistances are driven by the three phase AC voltage. When a single phase AC power source is connected with the two terminals of the three phase input terminals so that the two heater units for the single phase AC power source are driven with a single phase AC voltage, the change over unit switches between connection of the two heater units for the single phase AC power source in series with or connection of one of the two heater units with the single phase AC power source which is connected with the three phase input terminals 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
