PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a strontium-doped lanthanum manganate microparticle, its production method, and its usage. PSOLUTION: The strontium-doped lanthanum manganate microparticle having a primary particle diameter of 50 nm and a high crystallinity is produced by adjusting the pH of a mixed aqueous solution of strontium, lanthanum and manganese compounds to about 6 with an aqueous alkali solution and subjecting it to a hydrothermal reaction at 380-450C using subcritical or supercritical water as a medium. The strontium-doped lanthanum manganate microparticle which is usable as an electrode material or the like for a solid oxide fuel cell or the like, requires no high-temperature treatment, shows a high crystallinity and has a particle diameter of 50 nm, its production method, and its application product can be provided.
