PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a signal processing load and obtain picked-up image of a wide dynamic range without image shift.;SOLUTION: A signal charge of a first pixel which is exposed for a predetermined time and a signal charge of a second pixel which is exposed for a partial time in the predetermined time, wherein the first pixel and the second pixel are in the same pixel column, are read to a charge transfer path along with the pixel column, are added and mixed on the charge transfer path, and then are transferred. Of the first pixel and the second pixel which simultaneously start light reception and stop light reception, at the same time, the stored charge of the second pixel is read to the charge transfer path at a predetermined timing before stopping the light reception and discarded, so as to set the exposure time of the second pixel from the predetermined timing to the time of stopping the light reception.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
