PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vocal cord reinforcing tool, lessening physical load on a patient due to implantation, and further easily adjusting a vocal cord function after operation.;SOLUTION: This vocal cord reinforcing tool 1 is formed of a balloon body 11, and the balloon body 11 has a fluid filling port 12 for injecting a fluid and a hollow part 13 for holding injected fluid. The fluid is injected from the fluid filling port 12 to the hollow part 13, thereby freely expanding and contracting the balloon body. In the interior of a vocal cord muscle layer 140 on the contracted side, the vocal cord reinforcing tool 1 is implanted in the contracted state using an endoscope, the fluid is injected into the hollow part 13 by a syringe or the like to expand the vocal cord reinforcing tool 1, thereby projecting the vocal cord 110 on the contracted side into the normal side vocal cord 110, and moving the same to open and close the glottis 120.
