PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loss signal restoration method for preventing the increase of a circuit area, preventing the increase of power consumption and facilitating the timing management of a clock, and to provide a loss signal restoration circuit.;SOLUTION: The loss signal restoration method for restoring the loss of reception signals received through a cable transmission line includes: (i) a process of measuring an amplitude maximum value Vpp in the fixed period of the reception signals Sr; and (ii) a process of obtaining a reference amplitude Vref by multiplying the amplitude maximum value Vpp by a prescribed constant and emphasizing the reception signals Sr so that a signal amplitude Vsig after the full wave rectification processing of the reception signals Sr becomes larger than the reference amplitude Vref at all the time for the fixed period.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
