PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and equipment for producing a continuously cast rod of aluminum alloy capable of efficiently producing the continuously cast rod of aluminum alloy continuously over a long period of time.;SOLUTION: The number of defects detected at a through-type eddy-current flaw detection step 1420 in a nondestructive inspection method is compared with a predetermined first detection number determination standard, further, the number of defects detected at a rotary-type eddy-current flaw detection step 1430 is compared with a predetermined second detection number determination standard, and thus, whether each continuously cast rod of aluminum alloy is classified into any defect distribution group is obtained, and the number of the continuously cast rod of aluminum alloys classified into each defect distribution group is compared with a group determination standard determining the fact that which defect distribution group of the continuously cast rod of aluminum alloy that are classified are largely generated to obtain a defect distribution group equal to or above the group determination standard.
