POST-CONDITIONING FOR THE REDUCTION OF ISCHEMIA-REPERFUSION INJURY IN THE HEART AND OTHER ORGANS

PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system to minimize damage to an organ or a tissue after receiving an ischemia damage. PSOLUTION: The system is for preventing damage to an organ or a tissue in an examinee during or after reperfusion to the organ or the tissue after an ischemia phenomenon such as treatment of cardiac infarction for preventing a damage to the heart after reperfusion of the heart. It is provided with (a) a means to stop perfusion of the organ for about 5 sec-about 5 min., (b) a means to restart perfusion of the organ for about 5 sec-5 min., (c) a means to continuously repeat the processes (a) and (b) for about twice to about 50 times, and (d) a means to enable continuous perfusion of the organ or the tissue for preventing a damage to the organ or the tissue in the examinee after the ischemia phenomenon.
