UNDERWATER RIPRAP LEVELING DEVICE AND UNDERWATER RIPRAP LEVELING TECHNIQUE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater riprap leveling device and an underwater riprap leveling technique for reliably thrusting and leveling ripraps thrown into water in a well workable manner.;SOLUTION: The underwater riprap leveling device is used for the underwater riprap leveling technique for thrusting and leveling ripraps thrown in water with a weight suspended on a crane. The weight consists of a support having a supporting column erected on a base for thrusting the ripraps and a weight body slidably mounted on the support. The weight body is suspended from a main wire of the crane, and the support is suspended from a sub wire of the crane. After the base of the support is placed at a predetermined position on the ripraps thrown in water, the sub wire of the crane is loosened to the extent that the support does not fall down and the main wire of the crane is tensed to raise only the weight body up to a predetermined height. Then, the main wire of the crane is loosened for the weight body to fall down toward the base of the support so that the ripraps are leveled by the base.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
