METHOD FOR IMPROVING QUALITY OF WATER IN WATER TANK AND WATER QUALITY IMPROVER THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving the quality of the water in a water tank such as a water receiving tank, a feed tank and an elevated water tank arranged in a building, an apartment house, a hotel, a multiple dwelling house or the like and a water quality improver for the improving method, in each of which tourmaline for activating water or a titanium oxide-based photocatalyst for decomposing/removing organic matter when irradiated with ultraviolet rays to clean water is utilized particularly to improve the quality of the water stored in the water tank.;SOLUTION: The method for improving the quality of the water in the water tank comprises the steps of: preparing the water quality improver provided with a water quality improving material based on tourmaline and/or the titanium oxide-based photocatalyst and a floating body having buoyancy enough to suspend the water quality improving material in the water; suspending the prepared water quality improver in the water housed in the water tank; and bringing the water quality improver into excellent contact with the water by a convection current of the water and migrations of the water quality improver.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
