PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of determining accurately double bonds in a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin.;SOLUTION: This determination method of the quantity of double bonds in the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin comprises at least processes for; (1) determining respectively the whole quantity of the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin, a vinyl ester unit quantity, and a vinyl alcohol unit quantity; and (2) determining the quantity of double bonds in the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin by reducing the vinyl ester unit quantity and the vinyl alcohol unit quantity from the whole quantity of the polyvinyl alcohol-based resin.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
