PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a support method for designing the cleaning of a pipe that enables a designer to estimate the cleanability of a piping structure in the course of designing the same.;SOLUTION: The support method for designing the cleaning of a pipe to help solve the problem described above is characterized by comprising the step of modeling a piping structure to be cleaned, the step of obtaining a flow rate distribution arising upon pouring a cleaning agent into the modeled piping structure, the step of extracting a flow rate on a position whereon the cleanability of the piping structure is to be estimated, the step of substituting a plurality of parameters including the extracted flow rate into an equation established for calculating a cleaning coefficient K to obtain the same, the step of calculating a cleaning time t necessary for obtaining an intended cleaning effect by dividing a relative residual ratio R by the above obtained cleaning coefficient K with the ratio R representing the ratio of residual dirt D remaining subsequent to the cleaning on the position of the piping structure whereon its cleanability is to be estimated relative to the dirt D0 present thereon prior to the cleaning.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
