PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a macro lens having high optical performance for an infinity object through a close-distance object and having high optical performance even upon vibration reduction, an optical apparatus equipped therewith, a method for focusing the macro lens, and a method for vibration reduction of the macro lens.;SOLUTION: The macro lens includes, in order from an object side, a first lens group G1, a second lens group G2, and a third lens group G3. Combined refractive power of the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 is positive. When focusing on the object, the first lens group G1 and the second lens group G2 are moved to an object direction, and at least a part of the third lens group G3 is moved as a shift lens group in a direction perpendicular to an optical axis.
