PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quick, simple and inexpensive evaluation method of optical isomer separability of a chiral stationary phase for chromatography, and an evaluation device used therefor. PSOLUTION: An evaluation cell 7 is used, equipped with a sensor part 5 wherein an active material for the chiral stationary phase interacting with an optical isomer which is a detection object is immobilized on the first electrode 3a of a quartz oscillator 1, and the first electrode 3a and the second electrode 3b can be connected electrically to a circuit for applying a voltage between the electrodes and a frequency measuring device; and with a solution tank 6 used for dipping the sensor part 5 into liquid, and, while vibrating the quartz oscillator 1 by applying a voltage between the electrodes of the sensor part 5 in solution including the optical isomer which is the detection object in the solution tank 6, frequency fluctuation of the quartz oscillator 1 caused by interaction between the optical isomer which is the detection object and the active material is measured, and frequency fluctuation is measured by using solution including an optical isomer other than the detection object instead of the solution, and each acquired measurement result is compared mutually.
