PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact buffer which absorbs drop impact and vibration and also moderates rotation operation of an HDD unit, which may cause fall of a head of the HDD unit built in an information processing apparatus, and prevents the head from falling.;SOLUTION: The impact buffer includes at least two or more first impact buffer member 101 and second impact buffer member 102 which have different hardness, abuts to at least one side of an HDD unit 106 positioned at right angle to a rotating surface of a magnetic disk 109 of the HDD unit 106, supports the HDD unit 106, and not only absorbs an impact applied to the HDD unit 106 by expanding and contracting, but also causes rotation operation in a head unloading direction, which is a direction opposite to the rotation of the HDD unit 106 which causes a head arm 108 to move on the inactive disk 109.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
