PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent recording quality from deteriorating by improving difference in meniscus shape due to difference in nozzle height.;SOLUTION: The liquid discharge device (10) with a plurality of nozzles (16) fluidically connected by a liquid to be filled with is designed to make the contact angles of nozzle members forming nozzles in relatively high positions from among the nozzles members have relatively larger in an installed condition by using a plurality of nozzle members to vary the contact angle of the liquid in the nozzles in accordance with the height differences among the nozzles in order to recognize height differences among nozzles in an installed condition during the use where the liquid is discharged from the nozzles (16), to recognize the meniscoid shape differences due to back pressure differences imposed on the meniscuses in the nozzles due to the height differences, and to correct the meniscoid shape (20A and 20B) differences in the nozzles due to the back pressure differences due to the height differences.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
