PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce load required for relative movement of an outer diameter correction tool at a time of outer diameter correction and to secure a sufficient moving margin of a combustion gas seal for an injector. ;SOLUTION: The resin combustion gas seal 22 to which an outer diameter correction method is applied is installed in an installation groove 17 having a tapered face 20 of which diameter is enlarged toward an injector body side (right side in the figure) to seal an annular clearance between an injector mounting hole and the injector 13. At the time of the outer diameter correction, a plurality of segments 24 of the outer diameter correction tool 23 are assembled to form the outer diameter correction tool on a side closer to the injector body than the combustion gas seal 22 with a state of surrounding the injector 3. The outer diameter correction tool 23 is moved on a tip side of the injector so that the outer diameter correction tool 23 is away from the injector body. By the movement, an outer diameter of the combustion gas seal 22 is corrected that was enlarged at the time of installation thereof into the installation groove 17.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
