PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new HIV sequence, a polypeptide encoded by the new sequence, and a synthesis expression cassette formed by the HIV sequence or other HIV sequences. PSOLUTION: The synthetic polynucleotide encodes two or more immunogenic HIV polypeptides, wherein at least two polypeptides are derived from different HIV subtypes. In one embodiment, the HIV subtype is subtype B and subtype C.
