PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an analyte concentration or activity determination method for specifically determining reaction lag phases of reaction kinetics, thereby accurately evaluating the reaction kinetics and securing more accurate determination of analytes.;SOLUTION: The method comprises a process (a) for mixing a sample, with at least a reagent and thereby setting a specimen-dependent reaction during its progress; a process (b) of measuring signals x which change over a time period t, as a result of the specimen-dependent reaction and storing a signal-time curve; a process (c) of determining a maximum increase in the signal-time curve; a process (d) of determining a reaction lag phase of the signal-time curve; and a process (e) of determining the concentration or activity of a specimen, on the basis of at least one parameter of the signal-time curve present, after the reaction lag phase related to time.
