PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical joy stick of high accuracy by preventing external glaring light and/or glaring light due to anti glare coating, etc. from entering into a photosensor, and a portable electronic equipment containing this.;SOLUTION: The optical joy stick and the portable electronic equipment containing this includes an infrared light source which emits an infrared ray, a cover section which is illuminated by the infrared light source and in which a photographic subject contact surface is formed for contacting a photographic subject, a receiver which detects the infrared radiation reflected and transmitted from the photographic subject, and an optical member arranged at a light path of the infrared radiation which is reflected by the photographic subject and travels to the receiver. The cover section includes a cover base illuminated by the infrared light source, and an infrared wavelength band pass layer arranged at a side of the cover base and blocks the external glaring light of a predetermined bandpass and substantially transmits light of the infrared wavelength band.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
