PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a map data output device capable of outputting, when a map of the same geographical range as the map having been displayed is printed, a more detailed map optimized for the printing.;SOLUTION: The map data output device includes: a map database DB storing a plurality of map data whose level of detail as a map corresponding to the same geographical range is different from each other; a map range setting section 8 for detecting, when a display section 3 is displaying a map, the geographical range of the map being displayed; a resolution acquisition section 1 for detecting the resolution of the display section 3; a map data acquisition section 9 for extracting map data M corresponding to the geographical range being displayed, having higher resolution than that of the display section 3, and corresponding to the printing of a printing section 2; and an input-output control section 5 for outputting the extracted map data M for the printing of maps by the printing section 2.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
