PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an asymmetric catalyzed aldol reaction product capable of producing an aldol compound in high asymmetric yield by using acetaldehyde as a nucleophilic agent in the asymmetric catalyzed aldol reaction between an aldehyde and an aldehyde.;SOLUTION: An asymmetric catalyst represented by general formula (2) or its enantiomer is used as an asymmetric catalyst in an asymmetric catalyzed aldol reaction. In the formula, R2 and R3 are each independently an aryl group, a heteroaryl group, a cycloalkyl group, a heterocycloalkyl group, a cycloalkenyl group, a heterocycloalkenyl group, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group or an alkynyl group which may have substituents; R4 is a hydrogen atom, a silyl group or an alkyl group; R5 is a protective group for a hydroxyl group; and n is 0 or 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
