PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floor material lying method capable of preventing the shift of a floor material in taking a step into a decorative floor surface from an entrance, and facilitating construction, and a floor material shift preventing implement used in floor material lying method.;SOLUTION: In this floor material lying method, a plurality of floor materials including a floor material body and a leg extended downward from the floor material body to form a gap between the floor material body and the lying surface are placed and arranged on a lying surface adjacent to an entrance of a building in a state of being connected to the adjacent floor material through a connecting means.
