PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ship ballast water sampling system and a sampling method capable of easily and continuously collecting ballast water and sampling aquatic organisms contained in the ballast water alive, without having to provide a large reservoir tank.;SOLUTION: The ship ballast water sampling system is provided with both a sampling nozzle for continuously collecting part of ballast water from a water-pouring line of ballast water and/or a water discharge line of ballast water, and a sampling device 143 for condensing aquatic organisms contained in ballast water collected from the sampling nozzle. The sampling device 143 comprises a water storage container 300 for adjustably retaining reservoir water inside, in such a way that a fixed quantity of reservoir water is retained; a filter cloth 303 for partitioning the inside of the water storage container 300 into two inside and outside spaces; a reservoir part 304 for temporarily retaining water, containing aquatic organisms remaining inside the filter cloth 303, when reservoir water in the water storage container 300 is discharged from a discharge opening 313; and a housing container 307 for housing water, containing aquatic organisms which are retained in the reservoir part 304.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
