PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a numerical analysis method predicting separation behavior like local flow or volume fraction of respective oil phase and water phase, by varying particle sizes of water droplets in proportion to the volume fraction of the water phase in oily water in the Euler method, and considering the correlation force between the oil and water phases to the particle size, in the settler part of an oil separation facility.;SOLUTION: In the settler part 1 of the oil separation facility, the separation phenomenon of oily water 7 is predicted by varying the particle sizes of water droplets of the water phase 8 in proportion to the volume fraction of the water phase 8 in the oily water 7, and considering the correlation force between the oil and water phases 9, 8 to the particle size, when numerically analyzing a mixed phase flow with the oil phase 9 as a continuous phase and the water phase 8 as a dispersed phase in the settler part 1 of the oil separation facility, or is predicted by varying the particle sizes of oil droplets of the oil phase 9 in proportion to the volume fraction of the oil phase 9 in the oily water 7, and considering the correlation force between the oil and water phases 9, 8 to the particle size, when numerically analyzing the mixed phase flow with the water phase 8 as the continuous phase and the oil phase 9 as the dispersed phase.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
