PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain high efficiency and lower plant cost without loosing high safety common in a high temperature gas reactor power generation plant in generating power with nuclear energy. SOLUTION: The present system introduces high temperature/high pressure gas heated in a high temperature gas reactor 8 into a gas turbine 19 to drive a compressor 20 and a generator 21 and to generate electricity. The gas depressurized after using with the gas turbine 19 is pressurized with the compressor 20 to be high pressure gas, and the high pressure gas is returned to the high temperature gas reactor 8 to circulate for use in the constitution. In this case, the device has two dual structure of introduction and exhaust piping of high pressure gas in the reactor 8. The high pressure gas 29 from the compressor 20 after passing through the outside path of the dual introduction pipe 17 is heated in the core structure of the high temperature gas reactor 8, taken out through the outside path of the dual exhaust pipe 18, introduced again to the core of the high temperature gas reactor 8, heated, and taken out through the inside path of the introduction pipe 17. The obtained high temperature/ high pressure gas is supplied to the gas turbine 19.
