PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration of overall processing load of a system when updating software of a disk node while maintaining redundancy of data. PSOLUTION: A plurality of transition patterns classified into a first type transition pattern for maintaining the redundancy of data by prohibiting updating of data managed by an object disk node and a second type transition pattern for maintaining the redundancy of data by copying the data managed by the object disk node to the other disk node are set in a transition pattern determination table 1ac. The transition content of each of the functions of the object disk node is decided by a transition content decision means 1b, and a transition pattern corresponding to the transition content is determined by a transition pattern determination means 1c.
