PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly precise measured result by suppressing the extension of the time width of transmitted ultrasonic waves and reducing the influence of reflected waves.;SOLUTION: The transmission function H(ω) of a measuring system is led out on the basis of an impulse signal i(t) applied to one ultrasonic transducer and the output signal (impulse response) o(t) outputted from the other ultrasonic transducer when the impulse signal is applied.
