DEVICE AND METHOD FOR EVALUATING MUSCLE MASS BALANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a muscle mass balance measuring instrument for measuring muscle mass balance in a specified part.;SOLUTION: A muscle mass balance evaluating device includes: at least two sets of current applying means for applying a current to a living body or voltage measuring means for measuring a voltage, which hold the specified part of a body between them; a bioelectric impedance measuring means for measuring bioelectric impedance in a measurement part, based on the applied current and the measured voltage; and a muscle mass calculating means for calculating the muscle mass, based on the measured bioelectric impedance. The muscle mass balance of the held part is obtained based on the calculated muscle mass of the each set. In addition, a longitudinal width being the holding distance of the specified part and a horizontal width being a distance between the current applying means or the voltage measuring means are expansible.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
