PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mud additive mixed preliminarily with a thickener, which is not bulky and can be preserved and transported with economic advantages.;SOLUTION: The mud additive, which is added to highly concentrated muddy water injected to a working area in the process of highly concentrated muddy water pressurizing method, comprises mineral fibers and a highly water absorptive resin. The weight ratio of the mineral fibers to the highly water absorptive resin is preferably 4:1.
